This customer’s text says it all 🤎

Versatile Kokonati organic creamed coconut butter is a great vegan alternative to dairy butter. 100% Organic freshly grated and dried, coconut meat is finely ground in its own oil to make this delicious vegan butter.

Uses For smoothies, curries, soups, cakes, cookies and desserts. Can be chopped, grated, sliced, whipped, melted and set. Dissolve in hot water to make coconut milk and coconut cream of desired consistency. Great for creamy salad dressings, energy balls, and raw slice/foods. Use in place of other dairy creamers in beverages like coffee, bulletproof coffee and hot chocolate.

Flavor Crunchy and creamy at the same time. Melts in the mouth and easily spreads when slightly warmed!
Ingredient 100% freshly grated and dried coconut meat in its own oil. Free of additives or preservatives.
Storage Keep airtight in the pantry, away from sunlight and damp. Use a dry spoon to scoop out. Use within 3-4 months from opening. For even further prolonged use, the product can be refrigerated after opening. With a best before of two years from the manufacture date, creamed coconut butter remains safe to use for even longer periods as long as it is stored with minimal exposure to light, air and moisture. This is why Kokonati butter is packed at the origin, in the very plantations the coconuts are harvested from.

Before first use Separation of butter can occur due to the absence of chemical stabilisers. Only before first use, warm the tightly closed jar by placing it in a hot water bath until mostly melted. Stir until well combined and allow to set at room temperature. Alternatively, the butter can be warmed in the microwave for 10-second bursts stirring in between, taking care not to burn it.

Our promise There is nothing else. No hydrogenation. No refining. No trans fats. This product supports the traditional livelihoods of villagers in the rural coconut triangle of Sri Lanka. Kokonati products are 100% zero-waste, all bi-products and waste materials are utilized in the manufacture of other nature-friendly products. See how. Our product is internationally accredited by Control Union; Certified Organic (EU and USDA NOP), ISO and/or HACCP certified.

Benefits A coconut has more naturally occurring minerals and phytonutrients than any other seed or nut used for extracting oil. This is simply the reason why coconut oil has many advantages over other oil sources. Comprised of medium-chain fatty acids and natural fibre of the coconut meat, coconut butter is an indulgent and satisfying functional superfood. Naturally rich in Lauric acid and nutritional benefits, coconut products also have healing properties that support health and general well-being.

  • Rich in plant-based good fats that are metabolised into energy instead of being stored as fat.
  • Support weight goals by promoting healthy metabolism and increasing satiety (reduced hunger pangs)
  • Lauric acid boosts immunity
  • Instantly boosts energy levels  and enhances athletic performance
  • Supports thyroid function
  • Supports healthy skin and hair growth
  • Increases cell regeneration
  • Promotes anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial activity
  • Improves insulin secretion
  • Protects the body from disease

100+ years of coconut expertise Our Coconut butter is made by a third-generation coconut miller who has perfected the art of drying coconut without using intensive heat. So the natural antioxidants and nutrients are locked in and the quality of the coconut butter is the best it can be, with generations of knowledge guiding every step of the process. Backed by coconut expertise, and certified with ISO and Organic standards, the mill plays a vital role in the employment, welfare and wellbeing of the village community. The children of our workforce are provided with school books and stationery for the entire school year! Staff quarters are also provided for those who travel far from home. What’s more, we even grow our own organic vegetables onsite so the factory kitchen can provide a wholesome healthy lunch buffet for all at work.

Price for quality Our products are not mass-produced in vast industrialised factories. So we do not enjoy the economies of scale that supermarket brands do. We pay the millers and farmers a fair price. Specifically, batch-crafted for New Zealand, Kokonati products are made with multigenerational expertise and knowledge to be the best quality they can be and so easily justify the premium price for the premium quality you are getting.

Loyalty Just as we are fiercely loyal to the millers and families we work with, we also want to reward you, our customer loyalty. So every time you purchase a Kokonati product you also collect rewards points that can be redeemed for a discount at checkout. Remember to sign up for the reward points (the tab on the far mid-right edge of this screen).

Packaging and recycling 200g and 500g glass jars | 4kg and 20kg food-grade plastic pails. A light warm soak or a run under the hairdryer will remove the labels which are biodegradable and can be composted or disposed of in the garbage bin. If not reusing the containers, clean the recycle graded bottles and the plastic cans and dispose of them in your recycling bin. In our homes, we reuse packaging as much as we can. See ideas here!

Tasty

I found the Coconut Butter very tasty and thought it might be a good replacement for butter, as my daughter is allergic to dairy. Unfortunately we found it to be very rich and not something we can use very often.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the taste of our Organic Coconut Butter. We apologize that it didn't work out as a replacement for butter due to its richness. It is not an exact replacement for traditional butter as it is ground with the coconut meat in it. The coconut butter can be used in place of coconut cream or milk by stirring a spoonful ( or more) as required in hot water and adding to stew, curry. It can also be used as a base for bliss bal recipes.
It is also divine to stir a spoon of the coconut butter into hot rice that has just been cooked. It gives a wonderful satay coconut rice flavor. Do give it a go and let us know if you like it. Thank you for your loyalty in buying our products and leaving a review.

yummy Butter

I Love it always have…except that instead of being almost completely ‘butter’ there is at least a 1/3 of the jar fluffy stuff on top bit disappointing

Hi Su, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Organic Coconut Butter. We're glad to hear that you love it!
We just wanted to let you know that the fluffy stuff on top is actually the natural separation of the coconut oil, and it's completely normal. We NEVER use chemical stabilisers to keep it even-textured because this is a 100% natural organic product. We suggest mixing it well ( see instructions on label) before use to get the full, delicious flavor. Thank you for choosing our product and we hope you continue to enjoy it. Have a great day!
