Benefits
King Coconut ( orange coconut) is indigenous to the tropical island of Sri Lanka; consumed fresh off the tree. The tree grows freely and in abundance without human intervention on the island, where Sri Lankans love it for its ability to replenish the body, preventing dehydration. King coconut water naturally contains electrolyte levels so close to blood plasma. During the world war, king coconut water was also used as saline. It has the right balance of electrolytes. Aptly named the ‘king’ of all coconut varieties it is the premium source of natural hydration yet to be discovered.
Studies show that a single serving of king coconut water contains more potassium than a banana, has a better composition of calcium and magnesium than an orange and just the perfect sweetness for it to be the trusted hydrant of native islanders for centuries past.
100+ years of coconut expertise
Our King coconut water sales supports traditional livelihoods of villagers in the rural coconut triangle of Sri Lanka. Backed by generations of coconut expertise and certified with ISO and Organic standards, the mill plays a vital role in the local village community’s employment, welfare, and well-being. The children of our workforce are provided with school books and stationery for the entire school year. The mill also organizes religious and cultural events to inculcate a sense of belonging to a bigger cause, bringing a sense of pride and community to the villagers using age-old knowledge, treading lightly, and making a living for their families, sustainably.
Price for quality
We don’t manufacture our products in large, mechanized factories and so we do not enjoy the economies of scale that supermarket brands do. We pay the millers and farmers a fair price. Batch-crafted specially for New Zealand. Made with multigenerational expertise and knowledge, our products are the best quality they can be. This easily justifies the premium price for the premium quality you are getting.
Loyalty
We are deeply loyal to the millers and families we work with. We also want to reward you, for your loyalty. So every time you purchase a product from our online store you can also collect rewards points points redeemed for a dollar discount at checkout. Remember to sign up for the reward points (the black Rewards tab on the right edge of this screen ->).
Packaging and recycling
Available in 300ml glass bottles. Reuse or repurpose the bottle when possible or dispose in the recycle bin.
