100+ years of coconut expertise Our Coconut Oil is made by an ex-pat Asian-Chinese second-generation soap maker, Stewart. Stewart chose to settle down in Ceylon when he visited the island and fell in love with its tropical beauty. Employing local womenfolk of Diyagala town for the delicate crafting of these handmade soaps, Stewart has built a conscious business supplying artisan, beautifully crafted soaps from natural ingredients. The traditional soap making art is also taught as a vocational course to the neighbouring youth orphanage, so the youth are equipped with the knowledge to start their own soap-making business.
Price for quality Kokonati soap is not mass-produced in vast industrial-sized factories. So we do not enjoy the economies of scale that supermarket brands do.
